Who will I be learning from?

Marla Watts-Pacheco, MA, BCBA

Marla Watts-Pacheco is a qualified behavioral health professional and behavior consultant specializing in family engagement, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and organizational behavior management. She has been a behavior analyst, behavior specialist, and ABA therapist in clinic, school, and in-home settings. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys time with her family and exploring new places with her husband. Marla is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with her Bachelors in Behavioral Science and Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Heather Volchko, MEd, BCBA

Heather Volchko is a school-based consultant and program evaluator specializing in emotional and behavioral disorders, trauma-informed behavior analysis, organizational behavior management, and leadership psychology. She has been a coordinator, teacher, and paraprofessional in therapeutic, alternative, self-contained, resource, and correctional settings. Outside of her professional work, she has worked abroad with various international education organizations as well as stateside with organizations facilitating upward mobility with disadvantaged populations. Heather is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with her Bachelors in Special Education, Masters in Educational Psychology, and is currently pursuing her doctorate.

I've been told by well-meaning colleagues that they don't believe BCBAs can practice ethically in schools. Sure, it's messy work that will never be as clean as the other settings our field supports, but I believe we can practice ethically, holistically, and with excellence in school settings - and this training is one way we hope to make this known and possible in more public schools around the country.
