Self-Care Series
In this month's hangout, Heather Volchko and Marla Watts, both board certified behavior analysts, discuss the importance of self-care in life. Marla has been practicing self-care for about ten years, starting as an ABA therapist in a clinic setting and transitioning to an in-home therapist. The conversation is led by Makayla, TLC's "Tiny Little Consultant", who emphasizes the importance of self-care as a requirement and not just a reward. This workshop focuses on creating a plan to care for oneself, with action items for setting up a tiered system for meeting needs. Our hosts and guests share their experiences and trial and error in becoming at the forefront of self-care, which they started practicing post-Covid. They hope that many people will realize the importance of self-care and practice it daily.
